This is from a birthday party I photographed. This is an example of our "small event" photography! It is a flat rate and will include a session disc.

Enjoy the birthday smiles!

Cole's second birthday party!

Your second birthday party...what a blast...

From playing in the hay with your friends, balloons, organic cupcakes and ending with breakfast in the barn the next morning to play with everything all over again...

You are two...

You are two. I cannot believe it.

I guess with most birthdays when you are this little, mamas are bound to recant their tales of their peanuts' graceful entrances.

On your birthday this year, your Mimi and I were recounting the day you decided to make your early arrival. This is a long story short, explanatory details aside, and it was such a tale there were parts even I forgot. But here it is...

To recount that day, we had to find the parents of five children your mama was watching, yes five, we ended up meeting in the parking lot of a Chinese buffet down to one child, a town away. A stop by the farm for a car seat, as your mama, in labor, carried another 2 year old into your Mimi's car! Then we went by the coffee shop you now play in, yes, in labor, upright fully talking to everyone, dropping off the two year old, your now bud, then off to the doctors where they informed us you were coming now and you wanted out-in Kutztown. However, unbeknownst to you petunia, Kutztown did not have a hospital, so we were told we had better drive as fast as possible (without stopping, thank you Mimi) to the Lehigh Valley Hospital. (For my doula and mama friends, I don't like to brag, but I was standing there innocently, 7cm dilated, 100% effaced! Um hello, you are about to have a baby...act like it!!!)

Your dada made it from outside Philadelphia just in time and you were almost born on 222, but decided on a graceful, proper entrance at 2:50 that Wednesday afternoon in the Lehigh Valley. The lullabye played for you overhead in the hospital when you were born to complete your entrance. Your guests arrived one by one. What a day.

(Ahhh a moment to share, completely inspired by one of the best mama blogs around, Dooce!)

Thank you for waiting until we arrived at the hospital and thank you for every moment since... You are no disappointment in the hopes for an insightful child and your curiosity is the best thing I have observed in my daily life for a very long time.

Happy Birthday little man, you have made your mama's art a possibility, my daily days with you a journey and you bring a smile to me and your dada's face every night. Keep it up...

-To the best baby in the world, who, when I take out a backdrop, instinctively sits down for a picture...

A Wedding to remember...

Here is a peek into some recent fine art wedding work.

With this business, it is just myself and my husband as my wonderful assistant. Weddings can be a daunting task nonetheless, with much responsibility not to miss a moment! With this said, I (we) will do small events and weddings up to one hundred people!

This is a cherished friend, and may I say, a beautiful one...
